Adding a Marketing Campaign

  1. Select Edit Marketing Campaigns from the Messaging & Marketing drop-down menu.

  2. Click Add Campaign.

  3. Enter the campaign's name in the Campaign Name field.

  4. Enter the campaign's description in the Detailed Description field.

  5. Now we choose whether this campaign is a one time e-mail blast, or if this message needs to be sent on a recurring basis. For this example we are going to send a customer an email with a happy birthday message when it’s their pets birthday. For this will choose Automatically send this email on a recurring basis. Then add a starting date. I have not chosen a stopping date, this will keep the campaign running until we choose to stop it manually.

  6. We now choose how often we would like the software to check if any customer matches the filter criteria if no customer matches the criteria the message will not be sent. In most cases you want to set this number to 1 Day(s). which we will do in the example

  7. Next we choose who will receive a message from the campaign. If this message needs to go to all clients simply select Send to all active clients. In most cases you’re going to want to send to a targeted list of clients. Click the Send to a targeted list of clients.

  8. Then choose if you would like to base the filter criteria based on pet, or customer information.

  9. Here we have listed some of the most common filter criteria used to target customers for specific marketing campaigns. Let’s setup the filter criteria so this message is sent 3 days before our customers birthday Then select Finish. You will then see a screen that lists all clients that match the criteria that you have selected. Close this screen to continue. If you would like to create a more advanced campaign select Find pets / customers based on customized criteria using purchase history, personal information, and visit history.   10. The last step for setting up who will receive this email is the option “Don’t send to clients if they’ve received this e-mail campaign in the last |_| days. For this example I’m setting this number to 3. So that the customer only receives one happy birthday email during the three days that they match this campaigns filter criteria. Next lets create an email.

  11. When you are ready to start your campaign select Turn on campaign.

Creating An Email For Your Campaign

  1. Click Select New Template

  2. Select the Create New Template

  3. Next we will choose if we want to start making an email from scratch or if we want to use a pre design template. We recommend using our templates as they are designed to look great on both mobile phone screens and desktop / laptop computer screens.

  4. Click continue

  5. Next choose which template fits your campaign.

  6. First enter a name for your template costumers that receive the email will not see this.

  7. Next enter a Subject line.

  8. Some templates have a predesignated section to add your logo. You can also add images to other parts of email as well. To add an image click where you would like the image to be placed. Then select the image icon

a. The insert image window will open select browse
b. Navigate through your computers file system and choose the image you would like to add.
c. You can modify the height and width of your image by entering a new value in the “Width” or “Height” field.
d. Select OK

  1. Now replace the example text with your message. When formatting your message Make sure to use the Custom Placeholder. These placeholders allow you to personalize the message for each of your customers.

a. To add a placeholder click where you would like the placeholder to be inserted into the body of text.
b. Click on the custom placeholder drop down and select which one you would like to use.
c. Select Insert
